Engage offers Pilates-based physical conditioning classes, mat classes, private lessons, equipment training, seminars and workshops. We specialize in movement and fitness counseling in addition to specific athletic performance consulting. Engage also offers Pilates training and certifying workshops for instructors.
In the early 1900s, Pilates was designed to be an innovative rehabilitation technique. Its evolution was gradual and, if taught correctly, developed into a highly effective, body-awareness and body-conditioning technique. More applicable today given our wide-ranging lifestyles, Pilates is an exercise program you find yourself looking forward to. A series of carefully designed movements are taught on floor mats or Pilates apparatus. Engaging your mind and body simultaneously, this form of exercise balances, strengthens, lengthens, and tones your entire body at entry level. Additionally, if you have injuries, are recovering from surgery, or suffering from stress-related health issues, committing to our program can arrest, manage and often completely reverse pain. Your quality of life is our priority.
In a soothing, happy environment, we invite you to join us in a life-altering learning experience about your own anatomy. We will address the way you walk, sit, stand, and think about your own body. At engage, we guide you through the process of learning total body awareness, how you can apply that knowledge to create the most efficient and effective use of your own body, and physically master your chosen activities. Athletic or sedentary, all ages, all sizes and all abilities can benefit greatly from what engage has to offer. Mat classes are in small groups allowing us to give you as much personal attention as possible. Private sessions are one-on-one with the equipment. Duet sessions are one instructor with two people on the varied apparatus.
When you finish a session at engage, you will find yourself not just “worked out,” but feeling refreshed and empowered with an overall sense of physical and mental well-being.
